Version: v2.4.0
Effective Date: 2026-08-24
Last Updated: 2026-08-24
Revision Summary: Owner subscription, 30-day free trial, refund, price-notice, and deletion-related billing policy.
2. Two Money Flows
This policy covers (A) Merchant payments to HonorBox for software subscription access and (B) customer payments to Merchants. HonorBox is not the customer-payment processor.
3. HonorBox Subscription Model
HonorBox uses a monthly recurring subscription. New merchants may start with a 30-day free trial. A payment method is collected at checkout so billing can begin automatically when the trial ends. Full access continues during an eligible Stripe trial (status trialing) and while the subscription remains active. After the trial, billing continues at the monthly subscription price disclosed at the time of signup unless canceled before the trial ends. Canceling during the trial prevents the first automatic monthly subscription charge under Stripe’s cancellation timing for that subscription. Promotional pricing may apply under separately disclosed terms.
4. Price Increases
Existing Merchants receive at least 90 days’ advance notice in-app and by email before a subscription price increase applies to them. The increase applies only to an appropriate future renewal after notice.
5. Cancellation
Canceling stops future renewal but does not immediately end already-paid access. For a free trial, canceling before the trial ends stops conversion to paid monthly billing under Stripe’s cancellation timing for that subscription. For a paid period, access generally continues through the paid-through date, then ends when the paid period expires. Cancellation does not delete the account.
6. Subscription Refunds
HonorBox software subscription fees are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. This policy concerns the HonorBox software subscription, not Merchant refunds to their customers.
7. Failed Payment / Inactive Access
Failed, reversed, expired, or inactive subscription status may result in suspended paid dashboard access until brought current. It does not itself delete account data. Restoring eligible paid status restores eligible access.
8. Customer Payments via Stripe
Eligible card/wallet payments are processed by Stripe (Connect/Terminal where enabled). HonorBox stores limited payment metadata and does not store full card PANs.
9. Honor Payments
Cash App/PayPal/Venmo Honor options are confirmation-based and not API integrations. Merchants reconcile and refund externally; HonorBox cannot electronically return those funds.
10. Customer Refunds via HonorBox
Where enabled, Merchants may initiate eligible Stripe/card refunds in HonorBox subject to Stripe/network rules. Honor payments are not electronically refundable inside HonorBox.
11. Account Deletion and Subscription
During the 7-day voluntary deletion grace period, the subscription relationship remains unchanged so a returning Merchant can resume normally if deletion is canceled by sign-in. When permanent deletion executes, future HonorBox subscription renewals should be canceled as part of that lifecycle so the deleted Merchant is not charged further renewals.
